our easter sunday

this easter sunday,
mr.m. managed to get in a quick devotion
to remind our little people why easter sunday is our most celebrated family holiday!

before our little easter basket gifts,
before our coconut & orange breakfast rolls,
& before the easter egg hunt.
{high five, mr.m.}




oh my goodness-
love those pudgy fingers & toes.
i adore this toddler girl.




and then we were off.
crisply bow tied white hats perched on actually combed hair,
and a smart kelly green checked shirt, willingly worn.




rbaby girl wore the sweetest hand knit lovely,
1st knit for me by my great auntie NOna-
paired with gold brushed wee squeaks from now auntie r.



and we diddly-ied, and dally-ied as we gathered...



and storm trooper'ed thru the rough tundra.....



and even gracefully danced a ballet spin or two...
as we gathered eggs at the hunt.




and then this mama,
forced everyone to sit and take an official easter portrait.
"please do not make faces, nboy....or your easter candy..."...

no. i would never do that.
not for just a picture.
never.




then of course- one of these.
because they're mr.m.'s favorite.

and i love mr.m.
a.l.o.t.

and the easter candy was sweet...and tomato mozzarella salad fresh...
but really- the passage echoing thru my head this easter:

luke 19:37-40

37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives,
the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Some of the
Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

that last sentence?
it takes my breath away- every time.
