at long last,
our finale.

first this place- for mr.m.

he's a fan.



then mr.m. took the little people,
to lego discovery center land.



and there-
they saw many amazing lego creations.

while they were out leggoing-
i was embracing the neon yellow and blue..

mr.m's rules: anything i found had to fit in our already stuffed to the max vehicle.

"no...he said, i will not rent a trailer to cart your ikea treasures home behind our car."
"PLLLLeeasse. mr.m.!"

that chair.
that farmhouse sink.
that rug.
that round shade chandy....they are calling to me.


alas. he said he could not hear them call.
so i had to say goodbye. {dear ikea- please move to our town.}

and thus ends our chicago venture.
we came home refreshed in spirit,
exhausted in vacation parenting,

blessed with new memories made....
and with endless piles of dirty laundry.
