thanks day {part 1}

our house is really, really quiet today...
and terribly messy too.

but the good sort of messy.
the messy that says we had a packed house full of sweet relatives
who were having too much fun together to waste time dusting.

rbaby misses her cousin tbaby.
they became besties this week.







i think tbaby loved rbaby-
mostly because rbaby looks so much like tbaby's mama-
auntie s.




and, nboy is missing his favorite shadow sidekick-
younger cousin p. otherwise know as buzz LIGHTyear.



and these two peas in a pod did everything together-
including laughing,
crying, hair pulling, sharing,
playing with the auntie's iphones,
fighting, putting on makeup, sitting together,
sitting to have space,

...their relationship mirrors auntie s. and i growing up.
and auntie s. usually won our fights....since she was always scrappier then me.
i was "good" with words.....but sometimes a good tug on the hair can say a lot more.

they do adore one another so much.




the adulthood enjoyed serious time bonding around their ipad's.

with a white elephant gift card exchange-



in which tbaby also participated....
she picked gift cards for uncle m.
{isn't she gorgeous!}



all while balancing the adorable little people who begged to watch the group favorite show...
{and we may or may not have let them watch a summers worth of curious george.}
