with a lego birthday party.
well, he called it a:
"lego, super spy, star wars birthday party,"
but i decided those would be A LOT of themes to incorporate,
so we just embraced the lego theme.

he chose his own little guy friend guests-
to drink orange punch juice boxes,
eat cheez-it's,
celebrate over lego cake pops.

mr m. headed up the games,
and focused on a lego car theme-
complete with a checklist and stations to visit.

station 1: build your lego car.

big cars,
small ones.
red ones,
blue ones.

"my car has guns.
my car is super speedy.
my car has gas toots {snicker, snicker}.
my car has light sabers that can beat your car in a race."

lego station 2: weigh scale station
how many duplos = your car weight?
{facilitated by papa coach who was an official weight room coach.
he's a scale master.}

lego station 3: race stop watch time.
{facilitated by auntie k.- our very own physical education teacher!}

lego station 4: length measurements.
facilitated by grandma nene.

lego station 5: name your lego car-
the mason.
the speeder man top rod.
light saber star wars car.
the fast guy.
lightening mcqueen.

then we moved to light the candles on this little man's,
"star wars lego light saber candle cake."

then this mama hugged {and kissed} her birthday boy,

and mr.m. prayed for his year ahead.

then we ate our lego cake pops,
and ggirl flashed us her look of intensity
{probably encouraged by the sugar high}.

we tried to wake up from a morning nap...
with a house full of loud little boys,

we bonded with aunties, sisters, grandmas & great grandmas,

and uncles and grandpas,

in honor of our dear five year old boy.

and then he sent his friends home
with lego candy,
and lego man bubble gum heads.

Love it all!! The Lego man cake pops... Cure and a little creepy all at the same time!
