Birthday cake and animals

We had a little round cake
(banana bread with cream cheese icing)
and a candle for sweet G's birthday.

N was all about helping blow out the candle,
and trying to touch it.

She truly only had mild interest in the cake until
Mr. M. put a dab of it in her mouth.

Then she politely and delicately ate
bits of the cake.

We also visited the zoo this week.
N's highlights were a stone Rhino.....
and hugging a plastic monkey.

So I guess to N, the fake animals were
better than the real thing.....
this time around.
