i look at the following picture-
and i shudder....just a little,
because- there is no resemblance to our dimpled boy preschooler;
basically none to remind us he how he scooted like a monkey, instead of crawling traditionally,
no more permanent bruise mark on his arm- where he sucked on it- instead of a thumb...
no....notta...like mr.m's birthday morning prayer reflected-
this guy is a fast growing, tender-hearted, wild & passionate BoyMan.
our boyman decided to have a transformers birthday party, this year.
he chose the
he helped me spray paint all the boxes,
and make the "laser eye holes".....
both sets of our grandparents were able to be there....
{such a treat & blessing to nboy & our family!}
the boyman "designed" the cake- and this mama managed to keep it limited it to a few transformers-
mr.m's vintage transformer took center stage.
but, there were lego men, an oversized iron man and a bucket of green army guys who were cut from the cake list....
mostly due to "weight limitations" {and maybe a little bit due to this mama's please!-keep-to-the-theme-obsession.}
he invited his own list of friends this year,
and they had a marvelous time shooting marshmallow guns at transformers bad guys posted to our fence.
a "peg the birthday boy with marshmallows" game...may or may not have followed.
and then an epic picture, of six year old boy, transformer proportions....
followed.
mr.m. prayed for our boyman- and his upcoming 6 year old year,....
and we then we ate cake.
nboy-
we're so thankful for you.
you're a joy to our family- a delight!
we love your dirt pit in our backyard, your tree climbing, your lego building,
your loving heart towards your sisters, and your heart for Christ.
{and, i also love how already reflect your ManDaddy, in so many ways.}
happy bithday, BoyMan.
