a la c'clan {a weekend with family people people's}

so, we had a chance to catch up with mr.m's people this summer-
which is always a ball.....

and we also had a chance to catch up with the cclan....and extended people people's- this summer.

the adorable arkansas couple were along.....{read: dating, cool, late-night funny people}

and mama & daddy bloomington were there..{read:also parents of 3 darlings...so mr.m. & i are NOT alone on the kid crazy train. whew!}

yes, the hip california couple were here too...{read: married 1 year, comfy in the big city, & own bikes to have leisure rides along their beach front ocean view- nightly!}

and, lone uncle m. was also present....{read: he's available ladies- send in your application.}

of course- he was here....

and she was here.....

and so was baby she.....

in past years we've migrated south to the lakes of arkansas, but this year- we stayed at "lake cclan".

{really. there is such a thing. really really.}

so you might think that our traditionally muddy & cloudy, kansas lake water might hold us back from getting in.....

but don't worry- it didn't.
nope. not at all.

in fact- we initiated our previously "only used at malibu beach ocean surfboard,"

to become the first surfboard of it's type to offer endless lawn chair rides, to preschoolers, paddled by strong uncles,
...........{whose parents loved him for it}.

however.
the cake goes to nana d. & her epic show of bravery & humor.

truly.
