at looonnngg last.
the children and i were all equally as excited-
to start the school year.
to make new friends.
to eat lunch from our lunchboxes.
to seperate our worlds {just a little}.
& to have the chance to "miss" each other.
nboy's teacher provided bags for her students this year-
instead of backpacks- so they can pack them on their own.
he was sad to part with his backpack,
but thrilled that he could still take his star wars lunch box.
{thx gma nene!}.
and of course,
documenting this lively, outgoing, 5 year old boy,
would not be accurate without his signature expression:
darling ggirl was so excited-
to wear the barbie costume waiting for her
in her classroom.
and it's a good thing it's there!
because that was the only way,
i talked her out of wearing her snow white costume to school-
and instead wearing some real clothes.
{no worries- i am not dampering her dress up passion....
there is a rule at their school- no costumes}
and now, indulge me in a moment of mommy nostolgia.
can you believe this was just last year?.
they look sooo much younger!
and next year nboy is off to kindergarten...{gulp}.
also...this morning- for once i did not bribe them with candy
for smiles....
i think i probably should have.
