the end of summer

the last few days-
we embraced the burning hot sun...
knowing cooler days are around the corner.
{at least we're hoping for them...desperately}.



we filled our tupperware containers with
water and floated our toys.
{and rbaby wore her clothes in lieu of a swimsuit}



in a preview for the upcoming fall...
we practiced our "THROW UP" skills.
{their inspiration...my future nightmare}.



yes.
sure- little ones.
you're giggling about it now....
"look mom. i'm throwing up on ggirl!"

this mama isn't giggling...
oh no!
i'm shuddering at thoughts of the inevitable throw up
in our fall future.



"mama- take my picture! i throw up pretend in the tub!"
giggle. giggle. giggle.



let's move on to happier,
summer cold-free, flu-free memories...
like cool wet skin,
with water droplets and..



trying to make the biggest splash,
on the slip n slide.



and the smell of wet grass stuck to
wet preschool little girl legs,
and giggles from water up our noses.



let's remember these summer days.
so- we can re-enact those in our basement.
when we're trapped at home during the freezing cold,
probably with the flu germies-
and need some warmer summer days to look forward too!
