a happy turkey day

we've enjoyed many fall thanksgiving crafts.
our favorite thus far has been our pumpkin turkeys.

we're all about the pilgrims and indians this year.

nboy really understands the story now.

he has asked all sorts of questions about the Mayflower.

he has come to lots of conclusions too:

"mom, i would throw up if I had to go on a boat that long."

our thanksgiving tree was a new adventure.

i really wanted this one, from last year.

or to make my own like this one.

but having another baby- well, that didn't happen.

i needed something super easy.

super, super, super, easy.

this was perfect.

we simply cut out some leaves from recycled craft paper.

we used a tree branch {actually a recycled center piece from a friends wedding},

and paper clips.

every night after our dinner starting on November 1st,

we all went around and said things we were thankful for.

you couldn't say the same thing twice.

we were thankful for many, many things.

i was impressed by some of their thoughtful answers.

it made my heart so happy.

it made me think "yay! they have heard us."

and all our talk about being thankful.

since this blog is also a scrapbook of sorts,

i decided to post pictures of some of the little peoples' fall art.

i love a good hand print piece of artwork.

that one is by ggirl.

the turkey plates are another of miss j.'s creation.

happy thanksgiving, lastly, from rbaby.

our little family is SO thankful for her this year.

and so much more.

we are thankful for you! our dear family members.

and you! our sweet & thoughtful friends.

nboy and ggirl have been having spontaneous concerts at our house.

he will say "g. sing with me."

they break out singing. okay it's more like screaming.

in full force. at the top of their lungs.

"how great is our God. sing with me.

how great is our God. all will see.

how great. how great is our God."

indeed.

our cup is overflowing this thanksgiving.

our God is good.

and we will celebrate it!!!!
