NBoy is really changing things up on us right now. He's truly entered another stage of development. He has always been a bit more calculated as a personality, oldest child, & more cautious. But, Mr. M. said lately during their nightly wrestle mania he's been quite the opposite, making Mr. M. need to step up his wrestling strategy! GGirl still bounces right into their wrestle time- throwing any caution what-so-ever to the wind, gritting her little teeth and making her best effort to best both the boys!
Anyway, these new stages your kiddos keep going through can throw you for a loop! I mean, just when you get the routine together- they change it up! So, it's been so exciting & so trying all at the same time......trying enough to make us go out and purchase THIS {Love & Logic- The Early Childhood Years} book on parenting. We've needed to add it to our growing parenting library for some time- and we've already been encouraged by a few of Love & Logic's perspectives.
A few of the latest quotes from the little people:
NBoy: "Mommy. Did you know that God made my potty? Look how much is in there!"
NBoy: "Mommy. When will that baby come out your belly button?"
GGirl: "Mama. I want a baby in my tummy!"
Last Sunday, NBoy announced to us that he was officially "too big" for the nursery. Our church children's program doesn't truly begin till 4 years old....but he's almost there. So, we decided to try it out. He's been beaming ever since and looking forward to his Sunday school class with the "big kids." It also helps that we have some sweet older girl friends (L.D. & M.M.) that help him out with those techniques he's still mastering like cutting with scissors.
We are also mourning the loss of NBoy's afternoon nap at our house! I cannot complain though, he's given me a three hour afternoon nap since he was one year old....so that's was amazing while it lasted. We've transitioned to a one hour "rest time" {as recommended by some other wise mommy friends of mine who have non-nappers}, and then we try to keep ourselves busy & QUIET (ha!) till GGirl wakes up from her nap.

Well, thats all you need to know, and probably a bit too much more, from the M. Family front.
