a frigid easter egg hunt

Mr. M's company hosts an Easter Egg hunt, every year. In previous years, we "hunted" inside their cozy warm office building, but as the company has grown so has the amount of little Easter Egg hunters. Thus, we now hunt for eggs outside on one floor of their parking garage. This year it was FRIGID. The wind blowing, ear freezing, toe curling, nose running, rainy damp sort of frigid.

And we waited, and waited, and waited for them to blow that lovely bull horn, so we could compete with all the other parents with little ones, running through the water logged garage, tossing wet and damp (and even a little oil covered) Easter Egg's into our children's baskets, while all the while convincing ourselves this was an "enjoyable & necessary" tradition to keep on this freezing day!

But, it is true....the kids have loved going through the eggs, and re-hiding them in our house. And, I suppose the mound of candy we now have at the top of our fridge was a good enough reward for the cold day!

ps. for the record- Mr. M. insists he did not join in the mad parental running, through the parking garage like all the other parents. And, I may, or may not have, run a little myself.
