This is what my living room looks like right now. Who new two little people could make such a glorious disaster. I must admit many rooms in our house are starting to look like this on a regular basis- at least during their waking hours.
But it's made of hours of creativity (and some fighting), dressing up (mainly as firemen- GGirl goes along with this happily), smiles over new games played (some tears over sharing toys), lots of lovely sounds of laughter (some whining and complaining, too), yummy snacktime (and crushed goldfish in our carpet), so........it's beautiful, isn't it?

oh my gosh, Hannah - I love you for posting this! I feel like my house looks like that everyday now and I have just decided that is how it is going to be for awhile. Glad to see that others have embraced it also:)
ReplyDeleteI know...it's a "special" stage of life with little ones...so our houses should be in "special" order to embrace their growing minds and hearts (a.k.a. great toddler mess making stages of life), right?! :)!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had much time to blog, but this picture is way too good to pass up. Thanks to Noah and Grace for providing the setting. They should have their faces, with smiles, superimposed on the picture.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, a mindset that respects and loves life will not lack opportunities for service. Life at its best is messy. It requires constant maintanence and diligence, which at the end of the day yields a satisfying tiredness for a job well done.
Keep up the good work.
