this november- in this season of gratitude...
our hearts and eyes have brimmed and overflowed with thanksgiving to our God.
we are thankful for our courageous son,
and thankful for modern medicine.
we are thankful for our home- closeby to a hospital...
and for cars that can drive fast...when you need them too.
we are overwhelmed with thanksgiving-
for diego on tv in the ambulance...
and for wise & kid calm professionals in the icu.....
.....for hospital pictures that include smiles....faces that are no longer weary with worry.
this mama is thankful for a brave daddy-
who made spending the night at the hospital as fun as it could possibly be....
and who kept this mama from going into certain stress induced labor.
and thankful for sweet noisy {& germie} little sisters-
bringing donuts & cheer to a now healthy big brother.
and, this mamas' heart still overflow's with thankful guilt- as we passed by other rooms with their tiny patients & parents still bound.....
that our stay was short...
that specialists' have given reassurances his situation shouldn't reoccur....
and our son skipped to the parking lot with his lego filled backpack on his shoulders & a bounce in his step.
therefore for this day, for this emergency, for this hospital stay-
we are overwhelmed with God's Mercy & are thankful.
