a couple weekends ago-
we journeyed to our favorite northern town,
to visit with mr.m's family.
as tradition demands-
every fall {for the past 4 years} we've been visiting vala's pumpkin patch.
there seem's to be new things we "discover" on each yearly adventure.
but the ducks & the corn-
well...they're classic.
yes, it's shucked dried corn.
houses full of tiny, yellowness- beconing toddlers everywhere to...
frolic among their kernelness.
and maybe even to.....
eat them?
put them in their ears?
up their noses?
{gasp. surely my toddler did not do those things....surely}.
of course the older littles,
adore the corn stuff too.
that may have been the moment i fought the urge to google "corn disease's,"
since nboy insisted on becoming one with those kernels....
oh my. that boy.
...i just cannot make myself stop his moments of pure glee.
and if you can't stop'em....
mine as well join them.....
next we went for a balloon thingy in the ground jump...
and then, for a ride on the dune buggy's-
covered in mud,
driven in a mud pit path...
a few by adults- but most by mud embracing tweens- with really hip name brand shoes.
{that didn't stay nice for long...don't you love the things you notice as a mom?!}
and while they rode in the mud,
she owned the corn "mine!" "it's mine!" "mine, mama!"
and gigi was there....
and there were mutton legs to eat,
and there were dinosaur people to demonstrate growing courage of costumed creatures....
"take our picture mom. this year...we won't be scared and run away screaming."-nboy
and there were tractors to pose upon...
and "sister pictures" to take.
and even a baby bump to document....
{sorry baby girl- we've been meaning to snap your growing belly bump...but we gotcha' at the patch with us!}
{check! & hooray!!}
and we even got in a mr.+ mrs. moment....
thx nene & coach for another special pumpkin patch outing.
xoxo.
nboy, ggirl, rtoddler & mbaby.
{and for pure nostalgia here's last years patch visit.}
