we're looking hot over here.

i don't know how i forget-
that our midwest summers can be as miserable as the coldest part of winter.

they're hot enough for this mama to encourage
outdoor mud play.....with water.



"yes"- i say-
cover yourselves in the cool mud, lay in it, roll in it.....
and then smother yourselves with cold hose water-
anything to be cool in this sweltering purgatory!"




this baby girl refused the mud.....
even in the heat- she wanted to stay clean.



that's my girl, rbaby.
just like your mama- you love clean!




nothing better than a tupperware container
of water to play in.......



or sit in.........
except oh, maybe a huge fabulous public pool of water.
{but, they don't know that- shhhh! don't tell.}



that's a lot of adorable littles
to keep track of at the public pool....
so this summer- this mama's mostly embraced the tupperware pool.




i mean look at this boyman....
does he look calmly predicable for unsuspecting stranger toddlers {and their mama's}
at the public pool?





there's a lot of wildman growing in that boyman.....

and a whole lot of tutu ruffled loving sweetness in this one...



and this one...
there's lots of olders littles love smothering for our littlest little...
{along with some "accidental" - or so they say... hose spraying of her cute face...}
