the daily's

this week at our house,

the christmas tree tent has been built-
and we're loving cuddling, climbing and reading underneath the lights-
{just as much as we did last year- & it's  fast becoming a favorite christmas tradition in our home}.



it's definitely a home job-
large stacks of books,
random folding chairs,
piles of blankets,
and crumbs of neglected goldfish in the carpet- are required to make it work.

{actually in all "building-a-fort serious-ness"....the key is in the sheets. you must use large, FITTED sheets.
the elastic ends cling to chair knobs and easily stretch around all sorts of furniture.}



we're baking all our favorite cookies,



and dipping anything we can- in chocolate!



we're also loving our new adventure with the jesse tree advent calendar-
it's been a great review of the biblical patriarchs for all of us!
