there were no tears,
there was no screaming,
they did not cling futilely to my legs-
instead
it was absolutely enjoyable- for them and myself.


ggirl adored having her sweet friend in class with her,
and they shared lots of smiles and giggles during lessons.

nboy's skills grew by leaps and bounds.
he conquered the back float,
getting in the deep end at the ladder,
and getting his face, eyes and ears under the water constantly.
big steps for this almost-five-boy.


rbaby was content to sit in her stroller,
as long as there were lots of snack options.
and then- when she got restless-
she insisted on crawling on the cement.
which is why she's wearing leggings in 99 degree weather.
i hate seeing those adorable, pudgy, baby knees

i got nboy's review card-
and found out that he had been going by
a sudo name the entirety of swimming lessons.
his teacher told me he adamantly
corrected her on their first day:
"don't call me nboy- call me luke skywalker."
hilarious.
