this week at our house
we've loved dusting off the espresso machine-
which we received for our wedding 7 years ago.....
mr.m. is insistent that this year he will master the art of espresso-
and impress me so much that i will demand his coffee!
thus saving his money from the green mermaid lady,
who waits too conveniently on our corner.
we've been begging green growing plant life
-into the winter-
by planting paperwhite bulbs.
we've admired their curved stems,
and round onion-like bulbs.
we've loved the feeling of soft damp potting soil on our fingers,
and the thrill of shoveling dirt into pots.
and to remind us it's still winter outside,
we enjoyed a hot chocolate treat- after planting our bulbs.
{with bunches of whipped cream and a straw- of course!}
we've exhausted ourselves with another house project
{or at least i've exhausted my poor mr.m.}
that included scraping popcorn ceilings,
spraying new knockdown ones,
painting knockdown ceilings....
and painting walls in our master bedroom.
{but i promise the bliss of looking up at beautiful clean painted ceilings,
is totally worth the torture of scraping off that nasty popcorn!
right mr.m.? ooooh, you must agree!}
