Nana D. made some good comfort food for her brood of five,
back in her mommy days.
Start with the simple basics:
2 cans of crescent dinner rolls,
1 1/2 cans cream of mushroom soup,
1 cup of milk,
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
(I grate my own- it's so creamy that way!),
1 cup already cooked and shredded chicken,
& 1 9x13 pan.
Oven at 375.
Mix together cream of mushroom soup and cup of milk- till creamy.
Spread 1/2 the soup/milk mix in the bottom of the 9x13 pan.
Fill each crescent with a handful of chicken and then top with cheese....and, again, roll.
Top with about 1/2 the remaining soup/milk mix (you'll have some left over). If you like your casserole's really soggy...use it all, I like mine a bit more dry.

Bake at 375 for about 20-28 minutes.
Turn up the heat- to 400.
Watch it, let the rolls brown it a bit, wait till all the soup is bubbly and thickened.
(About 10-15 more minutes).
Scoop and serve. Yum. This is a household fave.
(We eat ours with sweet pea's & a fruit side)
Thanks for enjoying my "Rachel Ray" moment.
