we started school, in a flurry at our house.
rgirlie joined the
mom's day out program at our preschool...
there are definitely benefits to being the third child,
one is perspective....
and when you're a number 3....it's just in you.
you've seen your older siblings survive
....so surely the same will be true for you.
therefore her first day,
felt in every way-
like her picture expresses.
seriously, she was the one wiping away my tears when I dropped her off...
"my poor mama," she said....
she seemed to almost scold me for my tears protesting her growing up, darling self.
and then we come to this girl.....
my eldest, daughter.
i'm an eldest daughter too- so in many ways- the two of us
well...we understand each other {much of the time}....
i love how she owns our family, how she tells me-
"i am watching over our baby, mama"....when she talks about my youngest daughter.
she too, flew off to school this year....
and true to her school days of past....
she practiced caution & reserve before leaping in with her whole self.
oh my...i do love this expression-
her small girl balance of strength, humor & a sensitive heart.
and i know some day..... i will wonder back in my mind...and think
what in heavens did i do?
on my free the mama day ....
so in the interest in making me feel like those off days were productive.....
and in the interest of mr. m. feeling like those days were worth the extra change spent
i now give you...my free the mama day productivity portfolio:
lots of laundry...
sorted, folded, sorted, folded, sorted and...
finally, this least favorite mama chore, made it's journey- from piling on our playroom floor-
UPSTAIRS to piling on mr. m & i's- bedroom floor....
but if i ignore those piles...there is too much of this...
and, yes, yes....veggie chopping too.
of course- that's all we eat here at the Mhome...veggies...
and anything frozen, prepackaged & potentially microwavable.
and the clean up of art remnants.....
which seem to wait all week for my day of
but....really...really...what i want to see on this meander of productivity....
on my free the mama days of 2013.....
is all things this baby girl:
oh my.....
hi there-
my baby girl....ya, made it darling!
the end.
